Do you have a lot of information to keep track of? Do you have customer information in addition to all of the billing information? Do you have inventory information that you need to keep better track of? These are all great applications for a database.

I can help you to develop a custom database according to your specifications. And if the thought of this seems daunting, no problem. We can start as small as you want. I don’t expect you’re going to know everything you want until you start to learn what is possible.

Or perhaps you already have a database that just needs some changes. I would be happy to help you with this as well. I have been programming for many years and am quite adept at figuring out what other developers have done and how to fix or modify their code.

I typically work with Microsoft Access, since this is readily available, but I have expertise in many other database systems as well (see the Technologies page).

For example, perhaps you’re familiar with MS Word’s ability to perform a “mail merge”. Well, what if instead of using Mail Merge to create printed letters, you were able to send email to everyone in your customer database? Or what if you need to send everyone a fax? I can help you with both of these tasks.

I can also help you with website design. If you don’t already have a website, I can help you develop one. Depending on your needs, I can either help you accomplish this by doing the designing, or I can work with your designer to accomplish whatever you want.

In addition, I can help you integrate a database with your web page. This would be needed, for example, if you wanted to display inventory information. A database is also useful to collect information from people. For example, perhaps you’d like to allow potential customers to register their name & address with you.

There are many ways to accomplish these goals, and I can work with you to offer a number of cost-effective solutions.
